The Killers win Best Video at Shockwaves NME Awards

The Tim Burton-directed 'Bones' triumphs

The Killers have walked away with the Best Video at the Shockwaves NME Awards at the Hammersmith Palais in London tonight (March 1).

They were presented with the gong by MTV 2’s comedy presenter Ginger Bloke and We Are Scientists frontman Keith Murray for their semi-animated video for last single ‘Bones’, which was directed by Tim Burton.

The other nominees were:

Kasabian – ‘Empire’

OK Go –‘Here It Goes Again’

Panic! At The Disco – ‘I Write Sins Not Tragedies’

The Horrors – ‘Sheena Is A Parasite’

Having already performed on the night, Brandon Flowers and his band collected their award, paying tribute to the acclaimed director.

“Well this is obviously a gift to Tim Burton,” said Flowers. “He had all the input, so thanks!”
