It's a stunning end to an amazing run of dates...

The last night of the SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS TOUR turned into a massive onstage party last night (February 9) with all the bands invading the stage for a stunning finale.

The tour, which has been on the road since last month, played out its final night at the London Carling Brixton Academy.

During the last song by headliners The Killers, the three other bands on the bill – Bloc Party, The Futureheads and Kaiser Chiefs stormed the stage.

During an amazing five minutes of chaos, bands jumped on each others shoulders, members of Bloc Party crowd surfed, and the song, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’, ended with all four bands walking to the front of the stage and taking a bow.

Bloc Party’s Russell Lissack told NME.COM: “It was mind-blowing, I’m really glad we all got up there and did it together, although the bouncers did try to throw me out of the venue after I stage-dived into the crowd. Fortunately we got away and managed to run round the back and jump back onstage with everyone else.”
