Calvin Harris remixes The Killers’ ‘When You Were Young’ – listen

Harris's EDM-style remix will appear on the deluxe edition of the band's 'Direct Hits' album, out November 11

Calvin Harris has remixed The Killers‘ ‘When You Were Young’ for the Las Vegas band’s forthcoming greatest hits album. Listen below.

Harris shared a preview of his EDM-style remix earlier this month (October) and has now unveiled the full six-minute version via Rolling Stone. “It was a real honour to be asked to remix one of my favourite modern bands, and it was an exciting challenge for me to update this classic track for the dancefloor in a tasteful and respectful way,” Harris told the US magazine.

Harris’s remix will appear on the deluxe edition of The Killers’ ‘Direct Hits’ album, as will the original demo version of ‘Mr Brightside’. The standard edition will feature 15 tracks including two brand new songs – ‘Just Another Girl’, which sees the band reunite with longtime collaborator Stuart Price, and ‘Shot At The Night’, which will be released as a single on November 4, and is produced by M83‘s Anthony Gonzalez. ‘Direct Hits’ will follow on November 11.
