The Killers have unveiled the video for ‘Here With Me’, directed by Tim Burton – you can watch it above.
The Beetlejuice director enlisted the help of actress Winona Ryder and Submarine actor Craig Roberts to star alongside the band in the promo for the latest single taken from their new album ‘Battle Born’.
The video was shot last month in Blackpool and is the second time Burton has collaborated with the band for a promo, the first being the video for ‘Bones’ from the Las Vegas group’s second album ‘Sam’s Town’.
Speaking about the shoot, Burton, who has only ever shot music videos for The Killers, said: “The first time I saw The Killers perform live was in Blackpool, UK, shortly after completing work on our first collaboration, the music video for Bones.”
He continued: “When I heard the song ‘Here With Me’, I remembered seeing a wax figure of Winona (Ryder) in Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks in Blackpool. The concept of the video is inspired by the 1935 film Mad Love, starring Peter Lorre, as well as the works of Mario Bava.”
Meanwhile, The Killers have been forced to cancel three dates on their current North American tour as Brandon Flowers’ laryngitis has returned.
The band, who were forced to cancel their gig in Manchester earlier this year when Flowers was suffering issues with his throat, have postponed three shows including a show at New York’s Madison Square Garden and last night’s (December 13) show in New Jersey.
