The Killers react to ‘The Man’ being named Radio 1’s Hottest Record Of The Year

Band say they have the "best fans"

The Killers have responded to their track ‘The Man’ being named the Hottest Record Of The Year by BBC Radio 1.

The song featured on the band’s fifth album ‘Wonderful Wonderful’, which came out in September. ‘The Man’ was also one of NME‘s tracks of the year for 2017.

Brandon Flowers and band beat the likes of Liam Gallagher, Royal Blood, Lorde and Wolf Alice to the Hottest Record Of The Year prize, as voted for by Radio 1 listeners.

Host Annie Mac described the song as “a very sassy and sexy record, brimming with bravado” that was “fully deserving” of the feat.

The Killers responded to the news by tweeting that they have the “best fans in the world”. See below.
