The Kooks announce new album ‘Listen’

Band will release their fourth album on September 1

The Kooks have announced details of new album, titled ‘Listen’.

The band will release the LP on September 1. Produced by frontman Luke Pritchard and hip-hop producer Inflo, it features the recent singles ‘Down’ and ‘Around Town’. Scroll down for a full tracklisting, plus details of upcoming live shows.

Speaking about the album, Pritchard says: “To me this album is about pure expression. Even the way we made the album felt fresh. We were really listening to what was going on around us, picking up ideas. The whole thing was much more natural.”

The band will play four shows in May, with appearances in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham. Starting at Glasgow’s ABC on May 6, the band will then play shows at Manchester Ritz and London’s Electric Ballroom on May 8 and 9 before ending the short tour on May 9 at Birmingham Institute.
