The Kooks play new songs at secret London show

Band showcase fresh material at Year Zero Club

The Kooks played four new songs at a surprise London gig on Friday (April 13).

The band played as part of the Year Zero club’s ‘secret season’, where big name acts showcase new material at the event.

The Kooks kicked things off at the Proud Gallery in Camden with an eight-song set which club organiser and NME journalist Mark Beaumont said “rocked hard”.

The new songs were ‘Oil’, ‘Disappear’, ‘Always Where’ and ‘Saboteur’.

The band, who are heading for Glastonbury this summer, also found time to roll out some hits from 2006 debut album ‘Inside In/Inside Out’, including set opener ‘Eddie’s Gun’ and ‘Naive’.
