Watch The Last Shadow Puppets play ‘Aviation’ on James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’

Alex Turner and Miles Kane were backed by a string section for the performance

The Last Shadow Puppets performed on James Corden’s Late Late Show last night (June 21).

The band, comprised of Miles Kane and Arctic MonkeysAlex Turner, played ‘Aviation’ on the US TV programme. The track is taken from their second album, ‘Everything You’ve Come To Expect’, which was released in March.

Earlier this year, Turner described the band as a way for him to experiment with new ideas.

He told John Wilson on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Front Row’: “Going into this second album I remembered the Puppets was a vehicle for me to try new things for the first time. Before [TLSP’s debut album], every song I’d ever written was based on a very real scenario.

“The first Shadow Puppets record was the first time I attempted to step away from that. Most of the time it came off pretty silly. But there were a few moments where it worked out.”
