The Libertines announce last-minute warm-up show to kick off UK tour

Band kick off first-ever arena tour later this week

The Libertines have announced a new show for later this week.

The band are set to kick off their UK arena tour on Thursday (January 21), now confirming details of a warm-up show a couple of days prior.

Doherty, Barat and co will play Coventry’s Empire on Tuesday (January 19). Tickets are on sale now.

The band wrote of the news on Facebook: “So before we kick off our UK tour on Thursday, we’ll be taking a break from rehearsals and playing an ages 14+ warm-up show at incredible, newly rebooted The Empire Coventry TOMORROW NIGHT”.

Their tour will then take them to Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and Bournemouth, before finishing things off at London’s O2 on January 30.

The Libertines returned to release their third album ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’ in September 2015.
