Unseen Libertines picture from 2003 London gig emerges as band play reunion gigs

Signed prints show Pete Doherty and Carl Barât in their heyday

A previously unseen picture of The Libertines‘ 2003 gig at the HMV Forum in London is to be sold as a limited edition signed print.

The sale comes as the band are se to take to the stage for their first official reunion gig at the same venue tonight (August 25), though they did play a rehearsal there last night.

The 2003 gig, which took place on December 17, was deemed a high point in the band’s career, and the picture, right, has been unearthed by photographer AP Childs.

“I suppose it’s an appropriate time to put the print out,” Childs told NME. “It captures the band at a great point. They were fantastic concerts and I hope the Reading And Leeds Festivals warm-up shows at the same venue will be just as special.”

The run will be limited to 50 signed and numbered prints, available from libertinesprint@rocketmail.com.

The Libertines are due to play the HMV Forum tonight. Stay tuned to NME for a full report of the gig later this evening.
