Pre-sales allow tickets to be purchased before going on general sale
The Libertines have announced details of a UK arena tour for January 2016. O2 Priority tickets are available on Wednesday (September 23), 48 hours before they go on general sale.
The tour will see the band play arena gigs in Glasgow, Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and Bournemouth before a huge London date at The O2 on January 30.
The dates follow the release of the band’s new album ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’ earlier this month. The band’s third full-length was released last week (September 11) and is currently riding high in the Official UK Album Chart. The first week entry will be confirmed later today (September 18).
The Libertines cancelled a series of live dates earlier this month after Pete Doherty suffered a serious anxiety attack. Doherty failed to show at the band’s scheduled gig in London on September 10. The gig was called off two hours after the band were due on stage with a gig in Manchester the following night subsequently postponed.
However, the band returned to live action at Lollapalooza in Berlin. The festival appearance marked a summer of dates around Europe, including headline sets at T In The Park and Reading & Leeds Festival.
The Libertines will play:
Glasgow, SSE Hydro Arena (January 21)
Manchester, Arena (January 23)
Nottingham, Capital FM Arena (January 25)
Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena (January 26)
Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena (January 27)
Bournemouth, BIC (January 29)
London, The O2 (January 30)
