The pop urchins make it a hat-trick of dates at Brixton Academy...

Libertines have announced an extra date on their upcoming UK tour, which is due to kick off next month at BIRMINGHAM ACADEMY (February 29).

Following on from the success of their three sold-out gigs at London’s Kentish Town Forum in December (16-18), the band will now play three nights at the capital’s Brixton Academy in March, adding another show to the two already announced.

Fans can expect to hear new material on the tour, which is currently being recorded for the band’s eagerly anticipated follow-up album to 2002’s debut ‘Up The Bracket’.

Libertines will now play:

Birmingham Academy (February 29)

Manchester University (March 1)

Glasgow Barrowlands (2)

Bristol Colston Hall (4)

London Brixton Academy (5-7)
