Babyshambles get up and running...

PETE DOHERTY’s infamous side-project BABYSHAMBLES are to release their limited edition debut single.

London indie label High Society will put out the self-titled single from Libertines frontman’s ever-changing band on May 10.

‘Babyshambles’ will be backed by ‘Flophouse’ on a limited run of 2,000 CD copies and 1,000 7″ vinyl. The CD version will also feature an exclusive demo recording of ‘What Katie Did’.

Babyshambles sees Doherty team up with Patrick Walden from London’s The White Sport on bass and Seb Roachford on drums.

Rough Trade have given permission for High Society to release a series of Babyshambles singles throughout the forthcoming year.

Doherty also guests with fellow LibertinesCarl Barat on the single ‘For Lovers’ released by his friend’s band, Wolfman and The Side Effects, on April 12 through Rough Trade.
