Taking place in Gothenburg, the festival takes place from 11 to 13 August. This year marks Way Out West’s 10th anniversary.
The Libertines recently appeared as guests on a new spoken-word song by their tour poet Jack Jones’ band Trampolene.
‘To Be A Libertine’ features contributions from all four of The Libertines as well as some of their fans. It follows Trampolene singer Jones performing poetry at The Libertines’ arena tour in February, as well as playing guitar on Pete Doherty’s solo tour in May.
‘To Be A Libertine’ features on Trampolene’s new mini-album ‘Pocket Album Four’. Released on August 12, it also features new single ‘The Gangway’ and past single ‘Tom Hardy’ as well as a cover of The Cure’s ‘Friday In Love’. The fifth song is ‘Letting You Down’.
The album was recorded at Konk, the London studio owned by former Kinks singer Ray Davies and was produced by Jones with Wild Beasts/Madness producer Josh Green.
