The band signed to Virgin EMI while in the country
The Libertines have released a short video showing them in Thailand, the location where they recently signed a major label contract with Virgin EMI. Scroll down to watch.
The reunited quartet signed the deal last week (December 5), and said that they would be releasing their third album in 2015.
Now they have released a clip showing them on the island of Ko Si Chang – where the signing took place – following a tweet from frontman Carl Barat which pre-empted the clip.
Something coming your way from Thailand very soon amigos.

The band were in Thailand to sign the contract last week, while co-frontman Pete Doherty has also been staying at the Hope Rehabilitation Centre out there.
Barat had previously stated that he was visiting Doherty in Thailand and that the pair had “five new tunes on the workbench”. He also said that the pair had been working on resurrecting a host of old Libertines material that had previously not received an official release.
The reunited band released their last studio LP – 2004’s self-titled second album – through Rough Trade and have played a series of shows since this year’s second reunion including a headline show at London’s Hyde Park and three nights at Alexandra Palace.
