The Lost Brothers record track with ex-Coral guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones

Folk duo release Christmas track in aid of Dublin homeless charity

The Lost Brothers have teamed up with former member of The Coral Bill Ryder-Jones.

The folk duo, consisting of ex-The Basement and 747s members Mark McCausland and Oisin Leech, recorded Christmas ballad ‘St Christopher’ in Liverpool with the guitarist. Ryder-Jones, who released solo album ‘If…’ on Domino in 2011, produced and played piano on the song, which also features Babyshambles member Drew McConnell.

The Lost Brothers are the releasing the song in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust, which supports the young homeless in Dublin. The B-side of the single is a cover of Henry Mancini’s ‘Moon River’, produced by M Ward band member Adam Selzer, and is dedicated to the memory of Andy Williams, who made the song famous

The duo released their third album, ‘The Passing Of The Night’, in September. The album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, produced by solo artist and member of Jack White-side project The Raconteurs Brendan Benson, and features members of Ryan Adams‘ former band The Cardinals and Old Crow Medicine Show.
