The Maccabees score Number Four album behind Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Adele

Band can't hold onto midweek Number One spot with 'Given To The Wild'

The Maccabees have charted behind Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Adele in the Official UK Album Chart (January 15) with ‘Given To The Wild’.

The band, who released their debut LP earlier this week (June 9), had looked on course to claim the top spot in the midweek rundown but ended up in the Number Four position, according to data from the Official Charts Company.

Bruno Mars‘ ‘Doo Wops & Hooligans’ is this week’s Number One, with Sheeran’s ‘+-‘ at Number Two and last week’s Number One, Adele‘s ’21’, dropping to Number Three.

Elsewhere, The Vaccines‘ ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ climbed 10 spaces to claim the Number Six spot, while Noel Gallagher and Kasabian also re-entered the Top 10.

In the Official UK Singles Chart, meanwhile, Jessie J grabbed the Number One spot with ‘Domino’, with last week’s chart topper Flo Rida set to fall to Number Two.

Rizzle Kicks are at Number Three, Aviici at Number Four and Lloyd‘s ‘Dedication To My Ex’ is at Number Five. Taio Cruz, Coldplay, David Guetta, Olly Murs and Labrinth make up the rest of the Top 10.
