The Maccabees announce two Bestival warm-up shows – ticket details

Brighton indie boys book September dates in Exeter and Newquay

The Maccabees have announced two warm-up dates for their appearance at this year’s Bestival.

The Brighton indie band, who have spent the last year working on the follow-up to their 2009 second album ‘Wall Of Arms’, will play gigs in Exeter and Newquay before they travel to the Isle of Wight for Bestival on September 11.

The Maccabees will play Newquay‘s Lusty Glaze Beach on September 8 and Exeter‘s Phoenix venue on September 9. They are already scheduled to play Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms on August 8, with that show acting as a warm-up for their slot at Leicester‘s Summer Sundae Festival on August 12.

The band have not given any details yet on how far along they are with the recording process, or when their third studio album is likely to be released.

Tickets go onsale tomorrow (July 19) at midday (BST). To check the availability of The Maccabees tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
