Rob Harvey reveals why The Music are splitting up

Singer tells NME he's not sure if he'll stay in music at all anymore

The Music‘s Robert Harvey has said the band have decided to split up as he’s “not enjoying it anymore.”

The singer gave NME a few brief answers to fans’ questions about the band’s decision to split up this summer. He was asked by Reverend And The Makers frontman Jon McClure why his band was splitting.

“I quit because I wasn’t enjoying it. Needed a new challenge,” Harvey answered.

The Music recently announced that they will split up after 10 years together following two farewell gigs in London and Leeds this August.

Harvey also said that he was unsure whether he would start a new musical project, stating: “I’m not sure if I want to stay in music.”

He did add that The Music‘s guitarist Adam Nutter and drummer Phil Jordan are working on new projects.
