The National‘s Bryce and Aaron Dessner have predicted this weekend’s Premier League scores on BBC’s Football Focus.
The twin brothers, went up against Mark Lawrenson, ahead of this week’s fixture programme. The pair are avid football fans and confessed to being huge fans of the Premier League in a video you can watch below.
Bryce said: “We weren’t big enough to play American football, we used to get beat up. We grew up playing soccer, we were really into it when we were kids and we were captains of our high school teams.”
Aaaron added: “We were decent by American standards, not European standards.” He continued: “My wife is Danish and her family are long-time Liverpool supporters so I am a Liverpool fan by default. But like a lot of Americans we follow the teams that have American players, so we love Tim Howard at Everton for example.”
Lawrenson has gone up against a host of music stars in the past including Manic Street Preachers bassist Nicky Wire who is currently top of the leaderboard this season. Meanwhile, Aaron recently told NME that the follow-up to this year’s ‘Trouble Will Find Me’ will be“raw” and “simple”. He explained that the band would like their seventh album to be a reaction to their very “detailed” 2013 LP. “We’re actually thinking for the next album we make a very raw, un-produced simple record, that nobody will like!” he said.
