The National announce three shows in Ireland for summer 2020

Belfast, Limerick, and Cork will be welcoming the Ohio band

The National are set to play three live shows in Ireland next summer – check out the full schedule below.

Matt Berninger and co, who released their eighth album ‘I Am Easy To Find’ back in May, will take to the stage next June for performances in Belfast, Limerick, and Cork.

Following an appearance at Belfast’s Botanic Gardens on June 6, the Ohio outfit will stop off at Limerick’s Docklands Festival the next evening before visiting the Live At The Marquee event in Cork on June 8.

Tickets will go on general sale this coming Friday (November 6) at 9am (GMT). You can find further information here.

The announcement of these 2020 dates comes just ahead of The National’s UK arena tour, which is due to begin this Saturday (December 7) in Brighton. Shows will follow in Leeds, Cardiff, and Nottingham.

2019

7 December – BRIGHTON, Brighton Centre
8 December – LEEDS, First Direct Arena
9 December – CARDIFF, Motorpoint Arena
10 December – NOTTINGHAM, Motorpoint Arena

Meanwhile, The National have announced that they will be performing their fifth album ‘High Violet‘ in its entirety at their Homecoming Festival next summer. The event, which will take place in Cincinnati, Ohio, will also welcome sets from Patti SmithSylvan EssoOf Monsters And MenLocal Natives, and more across two days.

Frontman Matt Berninger has also announced his debut solo album ‘Serpentine Prison’. The musician revealed that the upcoming record will be produced and arranged by Booker T. Jones and that we’ll hear “more on it soon”.
