THE OFFSPRING‘s plan to make their new album available free on the Internet a month before its release on November 14 may be halted by their label COLUMBIA.
According to reports on US website [url=]www.billboard.com, the band are currently in discussions with the label in a bid to salvage their pledge to make ‘Conspiracy Of One’ available as an MP3 download.
The report states that a source has indicated that the offer may violate the band’s exclusive distribution deal with the label.
It is thought, however, that the release of single ‘Original Prankster’ as an MP3 on September 29 will go ahead as planned. No comment has yet been made by the label or band.
