The Police announce 30th anniversary rehearsal

Sting invites small group of fans to attend

The Police have announced that they will hold an invitation-only rehearsal on Monday (February 12) at the legendary Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip to commemorate band’s 30th anniversary.

On his website, frontman Sting announced that he will conduct a drawing among legacy members and select 20 fans to attend the event.

Sting wrote: “ have secured credentials so that 20 legacy members (i.e. those that have had an unbroken membership since January 2006) can be there to attend this historic event.”

Fans must apply on the website by tonight (February 8) at midnight in order to enter into the draw. The winners will be announced tomorrow.

At the rehearsal, The Police are expected to make an announcement about the details of an upcoming world tour.

The legendary trio will perform at the 49th Grammy Awards on February 11.
