The Pretty Reckless , the band fronted by former Gossip Girl actress Taylor Momsne, have returned with new song ‘Take Me Down’.
It’s the first taste of the band’s as-yet-untitled new album, which is due this autumn.
The new single is produced by the band’s regular producer Kato Khandwala, who has also worked with My Chemical Romance, Paramore and All Time Low.
Momsen hasn’t made any acting appearances since her one-line cameo in the final episode of Gossip Girl in 2012 in order to focus on The Pretty Reckless.
The singer told The Morning Call in 2015: “The producers knew I was never an actress. I started as an actress as you can’t be putting out a record when you’re three-years-old. It was a job and it paid my rent but, once I wrote an album’s worth of material that I wanted to release, it wasn’t even a question.”
The Pretty Reckless have supported Marilyn Manson and released the albums ‘Light Me Up’ in 2010 and ‘Going To Hell’ four years later.
There are five US festival appearances scheduled from September 17 to October 29, but those are the only confirmed gigs for the album so far. They finished playing the Carnival Of Madness package tour in June, also starring Shinedown and Halestorm.
