Essex's favourite sons reveal the title of their next eagerly-anticipated LP...
THE PRODIGY’S new album is to be called ‘ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED, NEVER OUTGUNNED’, nme.com can announce.
A spokesperson for the band said today that the band had written at least two tracks for the release, but were still in the early stages of recording it.
She said: “It’s all in the beginning stages at the moment, but you can already tell it’s going to be fantastic!”
She added that the band hoped to release a single before the end of the year, but that the album was not likely to see the light of day until early 2001.
As previously revealed on nme.com, the band decided on New Year’s Day to continue as an outfit and record new material after rumours that they may never record together again. Liam Howlett (band songwriter) and Keith Flint (scary haired singer) then went into the studio and have been working up ideas ever since.
Dancer Leeroy Thornhill told nme.com last month: “At the moment, it’s like, ‘OK, we need four or five tunes and then – bang! – just come back.'”
Thornhill also said the band wouldn’t be playing the summer festival circuit in order to concentrate on their new album.
