Fashion designer L’Wren Scott, who took her own life last week, has reportedly left her entire $9m (£5.4m) estate to her partner of more than a decade, Mick Jagger.
New York’s Daily News reports that the Rolling Stones singer is sole recipient of everything Scott owned, including an $8m (£4.8m) apartment in the Chelsea neighbourhood of Manhattan.
The paper reports that her simple will pledges “all my jewellery, clothing, household furniture and furnishings, personal automobiles, and other tangible articles of a personal nature… to Michael Philip Jagger.” The designer’s ashes have reportedly been split between her family and Jagger. “She was cremated and I have some of her ashes,” Scott’s brother, Randall Bambrough, said. “Some of those ashes, they will be buried near our parents here in Utah. And there will be a ceremony, date to be determined, in Utah for all family members who will have an opportunity to see their friends and others.”
Scott’s funeral took place in Los Angeles on Tuesday (March 25), where Jagger, his daughters and grandchildren were in attendance. Longtime Rolling Stones backing singer Bernard Fowler performed ‘Will The Circle Be Unbroken’, joined by Dave Stewart on guitar, Billboard reports.
L’Wren Scott was found dead last Monday in her apartment in New York. It has since been confirmed by a coroner that she committed suicide by hanging. Jagger released a statement following the news and his Rolling Stones bandmates also showed their support for the frontman.
