Canadian frontman sings 'The Last Time' with Mick Jagger in hometown
Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler performed with The Rolling Stones on stage in Montreal last night.
The Canadian frontman got on stage to provide vocals on ‘The Last Time’ alongside Mick Jagger. Video footage of the performance from the band’s 50 & Counting tour at Montreal’s Bell Centre can be seen above.
Butler’s participation in the gig was announced on The Rolling Stones’ Twitter account prior to the show taking place.
Butler joins a growing list of musicians who have appeared on stage with the Stones on this tour, including cameos from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Tom Waits and Gwen Stefani. The band recently denied that Adele is set to join them when they return to London in July to play two shows at Hyde Park.
Arcade Fire are currently working on their fourth album, the follow-up to 2010’s ‘The Suburbs’, and have been recording with former LCD Soundsystem man James Murphy and long-time collaborator Markus Dravs.
