Rolling Stones guitarist set to pen memoirs
Keith Richards is set to pocket over $5 million by signing a deal to pen his memoirs.
According to a report in the New York Post, The Rolling Stones guitarist will meet publishers in New York this summer to pitch his book.
Despite his agent Ed Victor being quoted as saying “it’s way too early to talk about it,” he did say the book could be “the greatest rock ‘n’ roll book of all time”.
Victor represented Eric Clapton in a deal that secured the singer just under $5 million for ‘Clapton: The Autobiography’, which is due to become available later this year.
The Post also reports that a $1.6 million advance in the 80’s was returned after singer Mick Jagger failed to produce a promised autobiography, saying he couldn’t remember enough to do a book.
