ROLLING STONE Keith Richards looks set to appear in the sequel to the 2003 blockbuster ‘PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN’.

The 60 year-old guitarist is said to have accepted the role of main character Jack Sparrow’s father in the film. Johnny Depp, who plays Sparrow, is said to have convinced him to accept the role after basing the character on Keith Richards in the original film.

According to MRIB Keith Richards is also said to have accepted a role in the third instalment, which will be released six months after the sequel.

Keith Richards has reportedly been for a costume fitting, and will begin recording ‘ Pirates Of The Caribbean: Treasures of the Lost Abyss’ in February.
