Speculation is rife that the veteran rockers are working on their first studio LP in seven years...
THE ROLLING STONES are rumoured to be working on their first new album in seven years following a mysterious posting on their website.
An ambiguous statement on [url=]rollingstones.com has led to speculation that the ageing rockers have started working on their first studio album since 1997’s ‘Bridges To Babylon’, reports LA’s KIIS FM.
The statement reads: “The band’s members are working on an unspecified project that necessitated the cancellation of drummer Charlie Watts’ plans to tour Europe in the summer.”
The announcement follows recent reports that the band will be touring next year and the news that the first of three singles box sets will be released this spring.
‘The Rolling Stones Singles 1963-1965’ will come out this May on Abko Records followed by ‘The Rolling Stones Singles 1965-1967’ in summer 2005.
