THE ROLLING STONES have finalised the European dates on their record-breaking ‘Bridges To Babylon’ world tour, adding around two dozen more shows to those announced earlier.
For the UK leg, The Stones have added an extra Wembley Stadium show plus a new one at Sheffield Don Valley stadium. The Edinburgh concert has been re-scheduled so as not to clash with a World Cup football fixture. The band will be bringing the same high-tech staging equipment they’re currently using in the States to Europe, including the world’s largest Sony JumboTron video monitor with its 33 feet by 44 feet screen.
The dates confirmed are all major-sized venues and there’s no word from the band’s press agents as to whether The Stones will play any of the small ‘club’-type gigs they sprinkled throughout their American stadium dates.
