The Rolling Stones to take part in their first-ever Twitter Q&A, promise special announcement

Band are currently preparing to tour North America

The Rolling Stones are to host their first ever Twitter questions and answers session from 6pm (GMT) this Monday (May 18).

The band will take to their official @RollingStones account and have promised to personally respond to select questions with videos and text responses. They will also be operating through their individual @mickjagger, @officialkeef and @ronniewood pages and a special announcement is also expected to be made to on the night.

The Stones have revealed they will be using Twitter as their main direct-to-fan tool ahead next month’s re-release of their ‘Sticky Fingers’ LP.

Speaking last month, frontman Mick Jagger has said that he is keen to make a new record, either with the band or as a solo album instead.

The Rolling Stones will head on a North American tour during the summer. Their upcoming dates will be their first since saxophone player Bobby Keys died in December aged 70. Keys was a notable player on ‘Sticky Fingers’.
