The Rolling Stone's wife Sally Humphreys gives birth two days before his 69th birthday
Ronnie Wood has fathered his fifth and sixth children, just two days before he turns 69. His wife Sally Humphreys, 38, gave birth to two daughters on Monday.
In a statement, the Rolling Stones guitarist said that they were “delighted to announce the birth of their twins Gracie Jane (6lb) & Alice Rose (5.7lb). The girls arrived on 30 May at 10.30pm and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect.”
These are Wood’s first children with Humphreys, who is a theatre producer. They met at the Theatre Royal on Drury Lane in London, where Wood was exhibiting his art.
He has one son, Jesse, with his first wife, the ex-model Krissy Wood. He also has a daughter, Leah, and a son, Tyrone, from his second marriage to ex-wife Jo. He also adopted Jamie, who is Jo’s son from a previous marriage.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, Humpreys claimed that the couple doesn’t notice their age gap – which is just over 30 years – but Wood has admitted that people sometimes mistake her for his daughter.
She said: “Maybe it’s the old-souls-young-soul thing, but we don’t notice it.”
