The tour will now visit a host of European cities, including a headline set at Roskilde Festival in Denmark on July 3. The Rolling Stones resumed their world tour on May 26 at Oslo’s Telenor Arena, after suspending some dates in March in Australia and New Zealand following the death of Mick Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott, who committed suicide in her apartment in New York.
Following news of the death, Jagger released a statement saying that he was struggling to understand “how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.” A service was held for Scott in St. Bartholomew’s Church in Manhattan, where Jagger sung Bob Dylan’s ‘Just Like A Woman’ in tribute.
The band’s Australian and New Zealand dates have been rebooked for October and November.
