Former Deputy Prime Minister pledges to bring down David Cameron and reunite Morrissey and Marr
In a video interview you can watch by clicking above, Marr told NME earlier this week (February 29) that he would reunite with Morrissey and his other former bandmates if the government coalition between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats agreed to step down.
Speaking at the NME Awards, where he was on hand to pick up the Best Reissues gong for their ‘Complete’ boxset, he said: “We won’t be reforming this week. Maybe if the government stepped down. If this government stepped down, I’ll reform the band. How’s that? That’s a fair trade, isn’t it? I think the country would be better off, don’t you? I’ll do it if the coalition steps down.”
Former Deputy Prime Minister and Labour MP Prescott has now lent Marr his support, writing to the guitarist on Twitter:
Hello Johnny. Just to say we’ll work really hard on that reunion! #pleasepleaseletmegetwhatiwant
He later sent another message which simply read: “Please reform #cosheavenknowsweremiserablenow.”
