And you could win a piece of Smiths history if you turn up
The Smiths’ drummer Mike Joyce and Inspiral Carpets men Clint Boon and Tom Hingley are among a host of Manchester stars lined up to DJ at a special one-off charity night in the city next month.
Good On The Dancefloor, held at South on Thursday October 26, will also see sets from ex-Fall guitarist and BBC 6Music DJ Marc ‘Lard’ Riley, Dermo from Madchester stalwarts Northside, Andy Woods and That Lazy Sunday DJ.
One lucky punter will walk away from the night with a signed Steven Wright photo of The Smiths, taken outside Salford Lads Club and seen on ‘The Queen Is Dead’ sleeve.
The night is in aid of M.E. and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome charity AYME and will be a celebration of the life of Jo Williams, a Manchester clubber who lost her life to the cancer.
Tickets are £5 on the door.
