POSH SPICE VICTORIA BECKHAM has launched an extraordinary attack on chart rivals Westlife warning them not mess with he girl band or risk getting “hurt”.
Confronting singer Kian Egan in London’s Chinawhite, the Spice Girl told him the band’s new album ‘Forever’ would “trash” Westlife‘s ‘Coast To Coast’ when they are both released in the UK on November 6.
According to a report in this morning’s Sun newspaper (October 20) Beckham raged: “You’ve been very lucky with you number ones. Your single sales have been very low and we’re going to trash you when the album’s released. Don’t mess with us or you’ll get hurt.”
Egan has responded claiming that his own album is better than the Spice‘s, ominously adding: “We’ll just see what happens.”
Westlife manager Louis Walsh has also stepped into the tussle saying: “The Westlife album has got better vocals than the Spice Girls album, it’s more soulful and basically it’s going to sell a lot more records. It’s going to be absolutely massive.”
Meanwhile, another of chart guru Walsh’s acts, Samantha Mumba, is enjoying unprecedented success in the US with single ‘Gotta Tell You’. The track is sitting at Number Ten and is this week’s greatest gainer, having leapt ten places.
