Spice Girls due to make an announcement on future

The Spice Girls are to hold a press conference today (June 28) where it is expected they will announce plans to reform for a tour.

The girl group are due to make an announcement at the O2 Arena in south-east London and NME.COM will be there to bring you all the details.

A notice announcing the event said the band would “make an official announcement to the world regarding future plans”.


The group are thought to be set to play six live shows around the world with gigs in London, Tokyo and Las Vegas, to support a greatest hits album which comes out later this year.

The imminent announcement comes after Mel C recently hinted that the band may reform for a goodbye tour.

The band’s management company, 19 Entertainment, has already registered the internet domains Spicegirlsofficial.com and Spicegirlsofficial.net , reports BBC News.

The Spice Girls are likely to begin rehearsing for the shows after Emma Bunton gives birth to her first child later this summer.

The Spice Girls split in 2000 after becoming one of the most successful acts in British history.
