Ian Brown has assured his fans there will be more solo material on the way despite his reunion with The Stone Roses.

The singer, who reformed with the remaining members of the band – guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and drummer Reni – on Tuesday (October 18) for three homecoming gigs at Heaton Park on June 29, 30 and July 1 in 2012 before embarking on an extensive world tour, was vague in his future movements at a press conference with the band at the Soho Hotel.

He told the conference, which you can watch below, that he would be parking “his solo career” while he jumps in another car with the Roses. But he has now issued an official statement saying there will be more solo material to come from him in the future.

Brown wrote on his official website

I hope everybody is happy to hear of the reunification of the Roses. This doesn’t mean there won’t be more solo stuff in the future. Thanks – 1 love.
