Band will now also play on Sunday July 1 after other dates sell out in 14 minutes
The Stone Roses have added a third show at Manchester‘s Heaton Park after the first two shows sold out within 14 minutes of going on sale.
The band sold out over 150,000 tickets for the dates on June 29 and 30 and will now play again on July 1.
The original line-up – frontman Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and drummer Reni announced their reunion on Tuesday (October 18) and will now play three homecoming gigs on June 29, 30 and July 1 next year.
The dates will be the first of an extensive world tour, which will see the band also performing new material as well as their classic hits, with Brown saying of the reunion: “This is a live resurrection, and you’re invited, so you’d better be there.”
The gigs are the band’s first for 15 years, they last played a disastrous performance at Reading Festival in August 1996.
