Stone Roses on course for Easter Number One thanks to Wretch 32 and Example

Wretch 32 and Example‘s collaborative single ‘Unorthodox’, which heavily samples The Stone Roses‘Fools Gold’, looks set to top the UK singles chart this Sunday (April 24).

The track, which you can watch by scrolling down now, is currently topping the UK midweek singles chart, reports Music Week.

Meanwhile, Adele looks set to return to the top of the UK Album Chart on Sunday. Her second album ’21’ was knocked off the top by Foo Fighters‘Wasting Light’ last Sunday (April 17), but is now on course to return to the top of the pile.

Gorillaz‘s new album ‘The Fall’ is currently Number Four in the midweek charts, while Jamie Woon‘s debut ‘Mirrorwriting’ is at Number Five.

Lady Gaga‘s ‘Judas’ is at present Number Six, while Tracy Chapman‘s 1988 single ‘Fast Car’ is at Number Four, with a sales surge inspired by a cover performed on Britain’s Got Talent over the weekend.
