On a definitive Greatest Hits compilation...

have collaborated for the first time in six years – on a Greatest Hits compilation.

This autumn will see the release of a definitive collection chosen by the original members – the first time Ian Brown, John Squire, Reni and Mani have collaborated since Reni left the band in 1995. John Squire also hinted recently that the band may reform.

The 15-track album, ‘The Very Best Of The Stone Roses’, will be released on November 4. Assembled by the four members, it will contain material from both Stone Roses

albums (‘The Stone Roses’ and ‘Second Coming’), plus one-off tracks that featured on neither – something that was previously impossible because of long-running contractual wrangles.

The original tapes were re-mastered at Abbey Road under the eye of original producer John Leckie. New artwork by Squire will be used as the cover.

The tracklisting to ‘The Very Best Of The Stone Roses’, which will be available on limited edition 180 gram super quality vinyl as well as limited edition slip-case CDs featuring four art prints, runs:

‘I Wanna Be Adored’

‘She Bangs The Drums’

‘Fools Gold’
