The Stone Roses confirm three dates at the Sydney Opera House

The band will appear at the iconic venue later this year

The Stone Roses have confirmed three dates at the Sydney Opera House.

The Manchester band, who played a series of hometown shows at the Etihad Stadium earlier this year, will head to the iconic venue in December.

The Roses will appear in Sydney on December 12, 13 and 14, with tickets costing between $103.20 (£61) and $230 (£136).

As Time Out Sydney notes, it will be the group’s first performance in Australia since they made a surprise appearance at Future Music Festival in 2013.

The band became the target of a Twitter rant by Azealia Banks while at the event, when she claimed they had tried to sabotage her set by checking their equipment while she was performing.

“Big apologies on behalf of the stone roses to my fans at the festival today,” she wrote. “My ex tour manager made a pact with the stone roses saying they’d sabotage my set because I fired him and they decided to check their equipment behind me during my set.”
