The Voice contestant Leo Ihenacho – also known as Leo The Lion – has criticised former collaborator The StreetsMike Skinner.

Skinner recently took to his blog to tell fans that Ihenacho was never a proper member of The Streets, writing: “Leo The Lion wasn’t in The Streets. He was a session singer on a few album tracks… He also sang on tour for a bit. He wasn’t part of any songwriting.”

Ihenacho took offence at Skinner’s comment and in tweets which have since been deleted – via Digital Spy – posted a number of angry comments directed at Skinner. Ihenacho reportedly wrote: “YOU ARE A TOTAL DISGRACE..!! HOW F**KING DARE YOU…SESSION SINGER..!!??? #EGOTISTICAL #ARSEHOLE”. He added: “Explain to the fans why we haven’t spoken for years… You refuse to be happy for me.. After all these years… You gonna post that..!!!!!”.

The singer then apologised to fans for his outburst, writing: “It’s just incredible how some people can never ever want others to succeed… Sincere apologies to all the fans for going off like that..!! Love as always.. #LetsKeepItMoving #SayNoMore”.

Ihenacho is currently taking part in BBC One talent show The Voice, which features Kaiser Chiefs‘ Ricky Wilson, Kylie, Tom Jones and as judges.
