Mike Skinner and band recently played their first shows in 7 years. They’ve also been releasing new music, sharing ‘Burn Bridges’ and ‘Sometimes I Hate My Friends More Than My Enemies’ last December and then ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ in March.
The group has now announced details of a UK tour for January and February of next year. It’ll be the second part of their ‘The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light’ tour.
Kicking things off with two hometown shows at Birmingham’s O2 Academy, The Streets will then play shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Bournemouth, before a trio of dates at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.

Mike Skinner recently assured fans that he didn’t get The Streets back together because he needs the money.
“Well, I don’t need the cash, otherwise I’d have done all the festivals, and the offers we got were insane,” Skinner told Mr Porter.
“There were a few things that Dizzee [Rascal] said when he did the big Red Bull gigs [referencing his 2016 Boy In Da Corner shows]. He said at one point, ‘I know this means a lot to you,’ and it felt like it was his way of saying, ‘But I’ve moved on.’ And I totally get that. I’m gonna celebrate the past.”
