Mike Skinner has posted his second brand new song online via his Twitter account.
The Streets‘ mainman pledged earlier this week to write, record and upload three brand new songs via the social networking site in three days, and last night (April 15) he posted the second of those.
Called ‘Trust Me’, the new song recalls The Streets‘ 2002 debut album ‘Original Pirate Material’ and is based around a Bollywood vocal sample. It sees Skinner rapping about smoking, and references Massive Attack‘s 1994 marijuana anthem ‘Karmacoma’.
Since going online, the song has been downloaded over 11,000 times, according to download portal Zshare.
If Skinner lives up to his promise, he will post the final free Streets song sometime today, via his Twitter page, Twitter.com/skinnermike.
