Mike Skinner forced to pull out of New York marathon

And The Streets mainman is 'gutted' about it

The Streets’ Mike Skinner has been forced to pull out of today’s (November 5) New York marathon.

The star admitted on his band’s MySpace page he was “gutted” at not being able to take part.

The star suffered a torn muscle this week, after months of training to try and get in the shape for the race.

He said: “I can’t fucking believe it. I’ve torn a muscle and I can’t run in New York this weekend. Typical. Been training for months and the first time I hurt myself is a week before the race!”

He added: “I’m going to have to rest up and get good on the new ‘Scarface’ game before I can run again. Bollocks. I think I might do a boxers’ ting and go to Ibiza to train for the next one HARSH. Back to the toasted sandwiches..”
