Fan footage of the co-headliner hook-up emerges online

Footage of The Strokes’ collaboration with Jarvis Cocker during their Reading Festival headline slot over the weekend (August 26) has emerged online.

The New York band’s frontman Julian Casablancas introduced Cocker onto the stage by saying: “We love and respect them, give it up for Pulp. And here he is, the Jarv, please welcome Mr Jarvis Cocker.”

Elsewhere, The Strokes played a set that leaned heavily on their classic 2001 album ‘Is This It’, with eight tracks aired from the LP.

Meanwhile, Pulp had played their slot at the Berkshire leg of the event a couple of hours earlier, a billing that was reversed last night (28) at Leeds Festival.

The Sheffield band also welcomed a guest during their Saturday night performance, with former touring guitarist Richard Hawley joining them for the first time since their reunion.
