As tipped here last month, The Strokes will headline this year’s event (August 21-22) on a bill that also includes their heroes Pink and pals Dido.

NME.COM can today announce that other bands already confirmed over the two-day festival include Muse, Keane, Massive Attack, Snow Patrol, Primal Scream, Massive Attack, Dido, [/a], Jamie Cullum and Athlete.

As last year, NME will have our own stage at V Festival. [a]Dido will headline the NME Stage, with the other day’s headliner to be confirmed in the coming days. Dido will also play the NME Stage. Watch this space for more details.

Although Massive Attackis billed as a headliner on one day, Muse will actually close the festival.

Matt Bellamy said: “We last played V in 2001 and have been looking forward to coming back since then because it’s a cool festival with a great vibe. The diverse styles of the bands performing always make for a really interesting line-up.”
