And the stars are out in force to watch Jet and Metallica...
The BIG DAY OUT has successfully wrapped up in SYDNEY and is currently on its way to MELBOURNE, as the annual Antipodean festival continues touring around AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND.
Thousands of fans – including Drew Barrymore and Coldplay’s Will Champion – braved searing temperatures and late-afternoon thunder storms to watch bands including The Strokes, Jet, The Flaming Lips, The Mars Volta, The Darkness, Peaches and headliners Metallica play two days in Sydney, after successful Big Day Out festivals in Auckland and on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
This year sees the first time the event has been held in the same city twice, with the same line-up on both days playing to around 75,000 punters.
The Big Day Out moves on to Melbourne tomorrow (January 26) before heading to Adelaide on January 30 and culminating in Perth on February 1.
